Meet the Local Leader: Brandon Barrett
Chick-fil-A’s unique franchise model ensures each location has a dedicated, hands-on Owner-Operator. Brandon Barrett, who also runs Chick-fil-A University at Mill, will oversee this new location. As a long-time Tempe resident, Barrett will manage daily operations, lead a team of more than 200 employees, and work directly with the community.

Barrett’s connection to Chick-fil-A goes back to his childhood in Georgia, where his father worked for the company for nearly 40 years. Barrett began his own Chick-fil-A journey in 2005 as the Owner-Operator of a Mesa location. In 2013, he opened Chick-fil-A University at Mill in Tempe. Now, with the new Broadway at Priest location, he looks forward to deepening his ties to the Tempe community.
“Since becoming a local Owner-Operator, I’ve been blessed to work with incredible organizations and serve amazing people in Arizona,” said Barrett. “This new restaurant will allow us to connect with even more of our neighbors and create a positive impact.”
Caring for the Tempe Community
Chick-fil-A is known for giving back, and the Broadway at Priest opening is no exception. To celebrate, Chick-fil-A has donated $25,000 to Feeding America, benefiting United Food Bank in Tempe. Barrett has worked with United Food Bank for years and plans to continue partnering with them through this new location.
As part of its ongoing commitment, Chick-fil-A Shared Table® will also be implemented at this restaurant. This program donates surplus food to local shelters, soup kitchens, and nonprofits. So far, over 30 million meals have been donated across the U.S. and Canada through this initiative.
In honor of the restaurant opening, 100 local heroes who have made a difference in Tempe will receive free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Opportunities for Team Members
Chick-fil-A is more than a job—it’s a chance to grow. Barrett is committed to helping his team members thrive by offering competitive pay, education scholarships, hands-on training, and leadership development opportunities. Chick-fil-A employees also enjoy flexible schedules and a positive work environment that supports their personal and professional goals.
